As already mentioned, Ecuador has much to offer, but we have our favourite spots and we are going to share them with you. One of the things which we love most during our holidays is visiting a forest, as we always leave with incredible motivation and clarity of mind. If you feel the same, then you should visit the Maquipucuna Reserve. The nature lovers will also be very happy, as the place is home to a great variety of plants and animals. All of them are special, but some possess such tremendous beauty that you are going to stare in awe for a while. And the fact that this destination is only around 85 kilometers away from the capital Quito makes it an even more attractive proposition. Before leaving, there is one place which has the potential to make you incredibly happy and peaceful – the waterfall which is to be found in the area. It is stunningly calming, and we believe you are going to benefit greatly from a short visit.

A second destination which deserves your attention bears the name Sumaco Napo-Galeras National Park. It can be characterized by spectacular nature, which invites you to explore everything about it. If you like volcanoes, then there is an additional reason for you to visit this place, as it is home to the Sumaco Volcano. However, a volcanic eruption of any sort is highly unlikely. Although the last time the volcano erupted is not 100% certain and it is an object to debates, one thing is sure – it has not erupted for a long, long time.

Are you a fan of water sports? If so, good news – Ecuador is a great place for scuba diving. Of course, this sport requires certain skills, but the experienced divers among you can engage in underwater exploration which is sure to be fascinating.
