Nature house in Appelscha

Together they run, in addition to the rental of three nature houses, also a Bed & Breakfast. On the adjoining nature reserve are three nature houses built, according to the famous Scandinavian "log system". v/a May 2022 there is also a private sauna here you can freely use in this log cabin we stoke the sauna for you. The small scale design makes this cottage the ultimate place for those seeking peace and quiet in their vacation in the immediate vicinity of the National Park Drents-Friese Wold and the National Park Fochtelooerveen. This nature house stands together with three other lodgings on 1.5 hectares. The nature reserve gives its occupants, maximum two persons, all the comfort one could wish for during the vacations. Ample parking is available. This is the smallest vacation park in Appelscha. The National Park the Drents-Friese Wold, is after the Hoge Veluwe the largest contiguous nature reserve in the Netherlands!

Many regular guests of the Nature Houses have often enjoyed this beautiful place several times. "A wonderful place to unwind and enjoy all the birds, almost 30, which were spotted by this guest : blackcap, blue tit, ring sparrow, blackbird, magpie, crow, song thrush, robin, spotted woodpecker, green woodpecker, goldfinch, chiffchaff, magpie, common jay, wren, great tit, turtle dove, chaffinch, mallard, sparrowhawk, house martin, heron, wagtail, wood pigeon, and so on. On the terrace of nature house the Kemphaan we had a delicious breakfast every morning. They spent a week here and the weather gods were favorable to us. The area is ideal for cycling and hiking and upon returning home a comfortable "log cabin", a lovely two-person cottage, awaits us. In the evening we could sit outside on the porch and listen to the twittering and whistling of the many birds. It was a pleasure to be able to hear this concert.
