Bird watching Cycling Hiking

Our wooden nature house is located in Driewegen, Zeeland, right in the heart of the Zak van Zuid-Beveland. Inside, you’ll find a spacious living room where you can relax after a day outdoors, a well-equipped kitchen for cooking your own meals, and a quiet bedroom with a TV. The bathroom isn’t luxurious, but it’s clean and functional—this cottage is all about being outdoors, not staying indoors. And the outdoors starts right at your doorstep: from your own little patio, you can look out over the garden and the Zeeland countryside beyond. No prying eyes, no passersby—you’ll have all the peace and privacy you need right here. You can bring your own linens or rent them from us. A few days before your arrival, we’ll email you all the practical information so you can start enjoying your stay as soon as you arrive.

Nature and surroundings

The cottage is situated on a one-hectare property, with plenty of greenery, an orchard of standard trees, and a vegetable garden. In the spring, the fruit trees are in bloom; in the summer, you can slip into the shade with a book; and in the fall, the apples and pears hang within easy reach. The Zak van Zuid-Beveland is considered one of the most beautiful parts of Zeeland: an ancient landscape of winding dikes, hawthorn hedges, flower-filled roadsides, and small church villages. People come here mainly for the peace and quiet; in the evening, you’ll mostly hear birds and see a starry sky free from city lights. Hiking and biking trails start practically right outside the door, and if you want to go to the beach, you’ll be on the wide sandy beaches of Walcheren, near Zoutelande or Dishoek, within half an hour.

    Nature, peace & environment: 4 /5

A cottage in a beautiful location on what looks like an estate.
    Peaceful, lots of birds
A lovely place for walking and biking, though there is a lot of farm traffic (harvest season)

What does “Fireworks-free” mean?
The host indicates that the area is firework-free. Firework-free means that no firework bangs can be heard in and around the accommodation. You might occasionally hear some noise or see some light from fireworks set off outside the immediate area. It is important that you agree with the landlord on what you can expect.
