Located just a stone's throw from the sea on the south coast of Crete, our plot of over 5000 m² offers the highest level of comfort and privacy for a relaxing vacation thanks to its layout in 4 terraces. Aiolos is located in the main house on the second terrace. We live on the upper floor of the house and have access through the third terrace - so you have the empire alone downstairs. Aiolos faces southwest toward the sea; its open design and large glass doors offer spectacular views, even directly from bed. When you open all the windows and doors, the inside and outside blend together, creating a unique living experience. The living and sleeping areas blend together; the bathroom is separate, of course. The sofa bed in the living room offers an additional bed of 160 x 200. The covered terrace extends the entire length of the studio and can also be shaded with a sunshade in the cozy seating area

At night you become one with nature: no cars and no noise. Instead, the sound of the sea, birdsong, crickets, the occasional bleating of sheep and the wind - otherwise all you hear here is silence. There are hardly any sources of light in the area; the starry sky overlooking the Milky Way or the full moon over the sea is an incredibly intense experience. Our house is autonomous, we produce our own solar energy and the sun also provides hot water. Cooking is done on gas, because we deliberately do not use electricity guzzlers such as electric stoves, dishwashers or air conditioning. Since we do not have a landline phone, our internet works via a radio connection to Matala, 20 km away. This is usually reliable and fast (similar to ADSL), but failures are possible. We are happy to offer you the connection via our own WLAN.
