In the campo (the "countryside") of Almaciles you will find this nature cottage, also called a "Cortijo" in Spain. Cortijo means farm and specifically for cattle. In the old days, this 100 year old cortijo was mainly occupied by horses. During the summer, the nights are cool because of the altitude. The cortijo has been restored in a traditional way and has thus regained its charm of yesteryear. The cottage is located in the former cuadra (stable), which consists of a living room with a single sofa bed and a kitchen. In the bedroom there is a double and a single bed. The rooms are separated by a hallway and a bathroom with a bathtub. On the terrace of this natural house you can use the lounge area with a magnificent view of the campo and the mountains. Almaciles is a mountain village with 261 inhabitants. It has a convenience store, a village café, two restaurants and a swimming pool.

The surrounding fields of this nature cottage consist of almond trees and wheat fields at an altitude of 1200 meters. Here you will find a great variety of wild flowers and herbs, the only sounds you will hear are the bees, crickets and birds! Mount La Sagra takes you to great heights. During almost the entire winter, the top of La Sagra is covered with snow. Also, the four lakes route is highly recommended. Furthermore, it is also possible to spend a day at the beach, in 1½ hours you are on the white sand under the palm trees.
