Enjoy this cozy rural guesthouse, where you can walk straight from the yard into the Overasselt and Hatert fens area. It is a wonderful place to completely come to yourself, get new inspiration, write, go on retreat, ... With a little luck you will see a woodpecker in the fruit trees at breakfast and a badger scurrying across the meadow at dusk. Listen for the thrush or geese flying overhead. The cottage is in a large yard, but offers plenty of privacy such as a covered terrace and a private meadow with a cozy sitting area under an old oak tree. In the nature house everything is on one level; a living room with a large sitting area, a high sloping roof, an open kitchen. Next to it is the bathroom with shower and a bedroom. The spacious kitchen includes an electric stove and a small oven. Coffee, tea, various herbs and a delicious bottle of wine are available. Bed, bath and kitchen linen and a well-stocked bookcase are also provided, of course!

The nature house is located in the beautiful fen area known for some rare plants and animals. From the yard you walk directly into the nature reserve. In the Heathland or along the Meuse it is great hiking, biking or horseback riding, something for everyone. (If you want to bring your horses, contact us for info!) If you want to do more than just look out over the meadows with a glass of wine, there is plenty to do in the immediate vicinity. The guesthouse is close to the old cities of Nijmegen and Arnhem with numerous museums and good restaurants. Nijmegen is only a 15-minute drive away. The Reichswald forest and nice towns in Germany such as Kleve and Xanten are also easily accessible. If you are interested in beautiful castles, WWII or Roman history, then you have definitely come to the right place. Information in the cottage about the best (historical) sights, terraces, fine restaurants, museums, boat rentals, beekeeping and much more, will help you on your way.
