Enjoy this cozy rural guesthouse, where you can walk straight from the yard into the Overasselt and Hatert fens area. It is a wonderful place to completely come to yourself, get new inspiration, write, go on retreat, ... With a little luck you will see a woodpecker in the fruit trees at breakfast and a badger scurrying across the meadow at dusk. The cottage is in a large yard, but offers plenty of privacy such as a covered terrace and a private meadow by an old oak tree. In the nature house everything is on one level; a living room with a large sitting area, a high sloping roof, an open kitchen. Next to it is the bathroom with shower and a bedroom with a double bed (160 x 200) . The open kitchen includes an electric stove and a small oven. There is coffee, tea, various herbs and a delicious bottle of wine. Bed, bath and kitchen linen and a well-stocked bookcase are also provided!

The nature house is located in the beautiful fen area known for some rare plants and animals. From the yard you walk directly into the nature reserve. If you want to do more than enjoy a glass of wine overlooking the meadows, there is plenty to do in the immediate vicinity. Honestly, just a perfect ten. Beautifully situated among meadows, right on a hiking trail through the woods and marshlands. A lovely little house, with no cramped spaces, and good amenities, such as a nice, large (work) table with good lighting.
There’s one more thing I’d add to make it a perfect ten: better task lighting in the kitchen (the black countertop and ambient lighting make it hard to see what you’re doing). So, for cooking enthusiasts, there’s still a bit of room for improvement. Also, for example, a simple instruction manual with larger print for the stovetop. The original manual is definitely not easy to understand on its own. And constantly having to pull out the manual with its tiny print and study three pages of text with pictures isn’t fun. Finally: a lid for the stew pot is missing.
