In the heart of France, in the Allier, is this beautiful nature house on a converted farm. The Allier is known for its many castles, Romanesque churches and beautiful views. This 17th century house is detached and for "sole occupancy". It is located just outside a small village. In the village is a cozy eatery. The nearest neighbors live 150 meters away. Around the house, a garden with fruit trees. At the rear a large veranda with dining table, lounger, (swing) chairs and a beautiful view over the valley. The spacious sitting room with fireplace and wood stove is in old condition: large beams and original red tiles. There is a grand piano and a dining table for 12 people. Near the fireplace is a cozy sitting area with a sofa and easy chairs. The sitting room has French doors to the veranda. The kitchen is large, and fully equipped, with a copper stove as its centerpiece. The house has four bedrooms: two with double beds, one with a queen, and one with a single bed and a wooden toddler bed. There is also a camp bed. (There is an additional bedroom with a double bed in an outbuilding. There is a ping-pong table in the attic.

The nearby village is in a hilly area characterized by small meadows enclosed by green hedges. In the area you can find many old footpaths, some of which are claimed to have been used as far back as Roman times. A few kilometers away you have Lake Vieure, a beautiful large lake enclosed by woods. Here you can enjoy swimming, canoeing and fishing. At the campsite which is located by the lake, there is a beach with play equipment for the children. And 25 kilometers away is the Foret de Troncais was planned by the French minister Jean-baptiste Colbert minister of Louis XIV to build the navy. It is one of the largest oak forests in Europe, where you can hike, swim and mountain bike to your heart's content. You can also canoe in many places. On the river Allier you can sail through the most beautiful natural areas where you can get very close to egrets and water birds. Bourbon l'Archambault (10 min) is a famous spa town with thermal baths. The 17th century thermal baths were built thanks to the Duke of Orleans, a brother of Louis XIII. The town of bourbon is adorned by a large castle ruins. The nearest large town ( 30 kilometers) is Moullins, where there are many nice stores. Also in Moullins are two beautiful large cathedral, a cozy town square with many terraces. East of Moulins is Le Pal, a combination zoo and amusement park and spacious and beautiful. Besides the animal park, of course, there are shows with seals and parrots, among others, and attractions such as a whitewater rafting ride and a roller coaster.
