This traditional, largely renovated farmhouse is located in the vast natural park of the Ardèche. Tranquility and plenty of space prevail here. This nature house is located on the upper floor of the former barn, which is built of large and small blocks of natural stone, characteristic of farms in the Ardèche. Because the first floor, which is still used as a barn, is partly built into the mountain, the house is accessible on the mountain side through several doors.Even outside the high season, you can spend a week here relaxing and enjoying nature, because in the evening an oil stove provides cozy warmth in the house.A spacious terrace offers a beautiful view - you can only hear the wind and the birds. Garden furniture, a parasol and a barbecue are available. In front of the double bedroom there is a second terrace. In the garden there is a ping-pong table for guests and a swing, there is plenty of lawn to play and lie on, and beautiful walks can be made all around.

From the nature house you can walk straight into the chestnut woods (also in autumn it is beautiful here!). If you walk down the mountain you will reach a brook and if you walk further down you will arrive in the village Désaignes. Here in the summer months the municipality offers the possibility of free swimming in the river Doux. And just outside the village is a riding school. Also in the wider surroundings you can make great walks; a folder with walking routes is available at the accommodation. There are also many beautiful routes by car, for example to the Mont Mezenc (1745 meters) and the Gerbier de Jonc, with their beautiful flower fields. Or to the palace of the letter carrier Cheval (see pictures).Larger cities in the area are Valence, Le Puy and St. Etienne, on average one to two hours drive through an ever changing landscape. In Désaignes is a small supermarket. In Lamastre there are two large supermarkets and on Tuesday mornings there is a regional weekly market. In Lamastre it is also possible to rent bicycles.
