The nature house is detached with spacious grounds around it, on the waterfront and located in one of the most beautiful nature reserves in the Netherlands: De Alde Feanen. The nature house is powered by solar panels and a windmill, so there is no TV, dishwasher or washing machine! Freedom and peace to recover from the daily worries. Located on the Folkertsleat, so you can quickly reach Grou, Earnewald or Warten by boat. Sailing, fishing, boating or swimming, it's all possible. Delicious peace and quiet and space to relax and enjoy! Spacious cottage with glass on all sides, which guarantees a beautiful view over the Frisian Lakes. Highly recommended for family and friends vacations, but also as a couple you can have a wonderful stay. The cottage is not suitable for babies as facilities such as hot water and electricity capacity are not sufficient.

The cottage is located on the main canal Folkertsleat and cannot be reached by car. For this reason a boat should be used. This is of course included in the rent (maximum of five persons, open boat). The cottage is located in National Park De Alde Feanen. Many birds and special animals also enjoy the peace and space here. The area was created by peat extraction. This created many small ditches and lakes. In the heart of Friesland, in the triangle between Leeuwarden, Heerenveen and Drachten, lies the nearly 2,300-hectare low moor swamp De Alde Feanen. A very varied landscape consisting of lakes, marshes, reed beds, shrublands, thickets and marsh forests. The landscape variation provides an enormous wealth of plants and animals. Approximately 450 species of plants and more than 100 species of birds breed in De Alde Feanen. In De Alde Feanen you can enjoy sailing, canoeing, rowing and boating. But there are also countless beautiful bicycle tours. This is definitely a must!
