Beautiful, renovated 17th century tile factory (tuilerie) on a beautiful hill in Luberon natural park. Here once the typical ocher stone tiles were baked. Now La Tuilerie contains four luxurious, charming vacation homes. Each house has its own color scheme and is very tastefully decorated with modern Provencal style elements and rustic beamed ceilings. From the home, that sleeps four, you can go for the best hikes, cycle past lavender fields and back home you can finally finish reading that book on the semi-covered private terrace. Or you lazily lie at the edge of the large communal swimming pool and enjoy the views. La Tuilerie is located 1.5 kilometers from the picturesque village of Oppedette, which is built on a high cliff. It is also the starting point for many long distance walks, or Grand Randonnées of France with a descent through the gorge d'Oppedette. For experiencing authentic Provencal village life, go to the villages Viens (8 km), Vachères (8 km) and Simiane-la-Rotonde (9 km). Here, you won´t encounter hordes of tourists but quietness and originality.
