Last minute Sarajevo
Sarajevo is the capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but it is so much more than just that. The city is quite beautiful and its atmosphere is beyond spectacular. Some people say that you can best experience a country by visiting its capital. We are not entirely sure whether this is true, but we strongly believe that you should by all means consider heading to Sarajevo. If you are looking for nature, you won’t be at all disappointed. In fact, you do not need to go too far away in order to enjoy some natural beauty – the river of Miljacka flows directly through the city!
If you have just decided that Sarajevo is going to be your next vacation destination, we got you covered – we have compiled an incredible selection of last minute accommodation for you to choose from. Although all of the properties are different from one another and thus unique, they are all characterized by several common things. They are situated close to nature so that you can devote virtually every minute to exploration; besides, they all possess the amenities you would need for a great stay.
Nature in Sarajevo
We are convinced that waterfalls are one of the best gifts that nature has ever given to us. If you too feel the same way, then you should by all means visit the Skakavac Waterfall. It is almost 100 meters high, and it is utterly impressive. It is 35 minutes away from the city of Sarajevo, but the trip is definitely worth your time and effort – seeing the graceful manner in which water makes its way through lush vegetation is purely priceless! Be aware that the waterfall usually freezes during the winter, and – although it is very beautiful in such a state as well – we would advise you to visit the waterfall during summer times, for instance.
Are there any mountain lovers among you? Our next recommendation will probably be up your alley – the Treskavica mountain. It is one of the best ways for you to explore the Dinaric Alps, and it is just around 60 kilometers away from Sarajevo! Be prepared to be amazed, as lots of immensely beautiful sights await you. In case you happen to feel adventurous, you can satisfy those inner cravings by conquering the highest peak – Mala Ćaba. However, those of you who prefer to have a more relaxed stay can also drop by and see one of the astonishing lakes around here – quality time is guaranteed!
Sarajevo offers some great opportunities for biking. If you are a devoted biker, you will enjoy some picturesque cycling routes in the area. And, as a bonus, you will also be able to see much more of Sarajevo compared to what you can explore on foot! However, exploration from the air can also be rewarding, and great fun too! If you desire some adrenaline, you can try paragliding. A short flight in the region is surely a very good way to end an already memorable trip.
