On the grounds of the Schwarzenhasel moated castle, a vacation home with a unique flair was completed in 2024 in a former servants' house. We now warmly welcome our guests in the beautiful natural surroundings of the East Hessian mountains. The house can be booked as one unit (8-10 people) or divided into two separate vacation apartments. Dogs (max. 2) are welcome. Due to its history, the house is unfortunately not barrier-free. The house has two fully equipped kitchens. There is a large sofa bed in each of the two living rooms. Two wood-burning stoves complement the heat pump and provide comfort on cooler days. We deliberately do not have a TV connection, but WLAN is available. In the garden there is seating, a hammock, wooden horses and some outdoor toys, as well as a herb bed, which can be used. In autumn, chestnuts can be collected and roasted.

On the outskirts of the small village of Schwarzenhasel, where farming is still practised, there is plenty of space in the fenced garden of the gamekeeper's house and on the grounds with moat, chicken coop, orchard, campfire site and the directly adjacent meadows. Goats and chickens are at home with us as well as a large number of wild animals that can be easily observed. We manage our own forestry business in the immediate vicinity, so that we can provide our guests with fresh, ready-to-cook game products on request. We also offer adventure tours through the forest for young and old on request. The proximity to the Fulda and various interesting natural areas such as the Hohe Meissner, the Knüllwald or the Hainich offer a large number of leisure activities such as canoeing, hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, visits to wildlife and climbing parks. But it is also not far to Bad Hersfeld (festival in summer), Kassel, Fulda or Eisenach.
