You have the unique opportunity to stay in the day laborers nature house from 1876. This nature house is in its original state and has 2 (extended) bedsteads (130 by 210 cm), which can sleep two times two people. In the main building ( 2,5 m from the cottage) there are shower, toilet and kitchen with fridge, combination microwave oven, hob and dishwasher. You can also use the garden of the Museum and the lounge area in the woodshed. Here there is also a wood stove, which can make this outdoor place pleasant on a chilly day. Especially for children it is very special to experience how things used to be. Therefore, there is the opportunity to play with toys from the old days such as hooping, stilt walking, shuffleboard, spinning tops, marbles. There are also indoor games, they can knit and knitting, and there are old ( before) reading books. Even laundry can be done the old-fashioned way: draw your own water, beat soap, stomp and wring and hang it on the drying rack outside.

The 1876 nature house stands in the middle of the green and offers views of beautiful surrounding farmland, the West Frisian ring dike and the beautiful 1200 village of Eenigenburg on a through road. The lapwings and swallows skim over the land and at night the bats pass by. At Petten you can go to the sea, which is about 6 km away. It is wonderful hiking in the area.
