Our nature house is located in a beautiful location among the meadows near a polder mill. You sleep in the wooden house, the lightning barn where the miller used to sleep during thunderstorms. On the top floor is an attractive and light room all to yourself. De Breek is located near the Markermeer on the Zuiderzeedijk and is starting point of several beautiful walks in the meadow bird area. Cosy towns like Edam and Hoorn are within cycling distance!

This nature house is located near the Markermeer on the Zuiderzeedijk and is starting point of several beautiful walks in the meadow bird area. Cosy towns like Edam and Hoorn are within cycling distance! During the season you can enjoy delicious freshly baked apple pie and more goodies in the cozy apple pie cafe from Wednesday to Sunday. The large terrace is lovely to linger on! In winter we are open on Saturdays and Sundays for our hikers and nature lovers.Also take a look at the original polder mill with its miller's house, see the treasures in the archaeological mini museum and intensely enjoy the beautiful surroundings with its hiking trails, foot ferries, sweet cute villages and the largest Markermeer. The Zeevang is a beautiful area. Bird Directive area, natura 2000 and next to Unesco World Heritage Site the Beemster. A beautiful polder, also the deepest point of NH, 6.64 below NAP on the Zuiderzee dike and the Markermeer.Amsterdam is only 25km away.
