This beautiful nature house is located on a quiet country road with no through traffic and about one kilometer walking distance from the Valtherbos. The nature house has French doors and a beautiful terrace with landscaped garden on the southwest. On the ground floor are a spacious living room, separate kitchen, toilet and bathroom with sink and shower. Upstairs are two bedrooms. The house has central heating. Television, radio and CD player are available and connected to the cable network. Good WiFi coverage in and around the cottage. Bicycles can be stored indoors at the cottage. Please note: Smoking is prohibited in the cottage.

Directly from the nature house you can make beautiful trips over the Hondsrug and through the Veengebied (see Geopark). There are also four marked hiking trails, plotted by 'Plaatselijk Belang Valthe', starting from the cottage. These routes are approximately 4, 8.5, 10 and 11 kilometers long. The nature house is located one kilometer outside the village Valthe and is surrounded by a garden of approximately one hectare. The bakery is via a beautiful route within walking distance. Valthe is located in southeastern Drenthe, in the Cittaslow municipality of Borger-Odoorn. The Hondsrughill received the Cittaslow certificate from the mayor in 2014.
