This place is undeniably a ruralhut; a house in the middle of pure nature. The property is part of a large farm (not in operation) in the beautiful Reestdal of Drenthe. The farmyard is adjacent to a nature reserve and is more than one hectare. The site includes parking, a covered outdoor room, a playground, a fen, seats next to the water with a fantastic view over the nature reserve and even a real outdoor shower. All this is accessible via a winding cobblestone lane. The accommodation has a living area of ​​over 100 m², its own entrance, several seating areas so you can sit in the sun all day (parasols), a full kitchen, two bathrooms (one with bath), a bedroom on the ground floor (with bathroom en suite), a family room on the first floor (with sink and toilet) and a living room with sofa bed that can also be used as a third bedroom (with bathroom en suite). Only the family room is on the first floor so that when the children are asleep, the adults can talk and relax freely downstairs in the living. In the barn is a real tournament ping pong table where you can make use of and throughout the whole accommodation there is free WiFi.

The nature reserve ’t Reestdal’ is a beautiful pristine area of ​​natural beauty and ancient cultural landscapes. From the farmyard you are able to admire beautiful views. You will not only enjoy the amazing views but also the enormous tranquility of the area. If you like walking or cycling; directly from the house there are several hiking and cycling routes with a large and clearly marked network. Not only the immediate surroundings are very rewarding, but particularly in the case of a longer stay, you will be surprised on how central ‘t Reestdal is relative to other surrounding natural areas.  The nearest bus stop is four kilometers away, the railway station of Meppel is 15 kilometer and the train station of Zwolle 30 kilometers. So, unless you are fond of cycling, it is advised to move yourself by car. The nearest villages are Balkbrug, De Wijk and Zuidwolde; there are also the shops and restaurants. The popular tourist town of Giethoorn is only 27 kilometer away. In addition, Zuidwolde has a well-known restaurant with two Michelin stars, which is highly recommended!
