This cottage lies in a small 30 acre private nature reserve, De Suyderbraeck. It used to be a service building of the old railway station build in 1884. It is close to the city of Hoorn (5 km) with its pubs and restaurants, charming harbour and lovely old city centre. The big lake, IJsselmeer where you can swim is only 500 metres walking from the cottage. The ruralhut has a large garden and guests can use the picknicktable in the field in the nature reserve as well. Private parking and the use of bycicles is included. Close to Amsterdam, only 40 minutes by car or bus. There is a bus stop only 300 metres away with a regular service (every 30 minutes) to Amsterdam. The cottage has a living room with floor heating, seperate kitchen with dining table. Bathroom with rainshower and floorheating. Upstairs a kingsize 180x200 bed and another bed on the landing 140x200.

The ruralhut is located next to the former Scharwoude station in a three hectare stone garden, with lots of privacy. From the garden, the nature reserve is easily reached via a wooden bridge. Free walking, enjoy the young and the sheep on the different meadows. 500 meters from the West Frisian dike, possibility to swim in the IJsselmeer. Great walking and cycling over the old dike. Hoorn a charming old VOC town with a beautiful harbor and charter ships on 3.5 kilometers bicycle.
