The ruralhut is located between the nostalgic West Frisian "omring dike" and the lands, yet it is close to the sea. With all the farmer's country roads you get to know the real North Holland landscape, such as the beautiful flower bulb fields, lands, hares, cows and more. The house is very centrally located in the "head" of Noord-Holland. You will be completely come to rest with nature all around you. The ruralhut has patio doors and a private terrace with fence which is facing south, so you can enjoy the beautiful, wide, rural view. The ground floor features a living room with fully equipped kitchen, hall and bathroom. On the first floor you will find a spacious bedroom with a double bed (200 x 160). The second sleeping area is a real old Dutch box bed (200 x 140). On arrival, your bed is made beautifully, so you can just take a delicious cup of coffee or tea and enjoy the lovely ruralhut.

At only 12 kilometers from the ruralhut is the sea where you can walk with your feet in the sea.There is also a beautiful nature reserve in the area, 'Het Zwaanenwater' (The Swan lake), with various routes. In short: the area is great for walking. In several months you can walk over the flower bulb fields. Around the Westfriese dike is a cycle route from junction to junction. At five kilometers, the town of Schagen with nice shops and restaurants, the West Frisian market every week with a West Frisian costume parade with horse and carriage. The cheese market in Alkmaar is also worth a visit, the cheese carriers make a whole show of it. In the nearby old fishing village of Kolhorn you can also enjoy walking with a guide or a cruise. In short: plenty of fun in nature or something fun and for the kids there are several nice parks in the area.
