This nature house is located in a hidden spot that you would really prefer to keep to yourself! The villa is a restored quinta: an authentic Portuguese farm. Here you can really taste how people live in the region. All three nature houses have their own fireplace, double bed, shower, toilet and kitchenette. The landlords both have a strong connection to the Portuguese land. Together they run the nature houses with enthusiasm and passion. It is possible to enjoy real Portuguese delicacies every evening. Nowadays it is also possible to reach this nature house with a shuttle bus from the airport in Porto. For less than €8 you reach the city of Guimaraes, from here the landlord can pick you up for a small fee. This nature house is suitable for two adults and three children (maximum 18 years). The beds for the children are camp beds (see photo). There are two floors. The bathroom and living kitchen, with wood stove and comfortable chairs, are on the ground floor. On the second floor are two separate bedrooms with toilet, sink, closet and balcony with hammock. The kitchen opens onto the terrace surrounded by flowers, plants and equipped with large dining table and parasol. The car can easily be parked on this terrace. You have your own entrance gate and you have a beautiful view of the valley and mountains. The kitchen is equipped with a stove, microwave, refrigerator, Senseo coffee machine, a toaster and an electric orange juicer.

Anyone who thinks there is nothing to do in the north of Portugal is wrong! This region about which not much can be found on the Internet has a lot to offer the nature lover. In the vicinity of the nature house you can make beautiful walks. In the vicinity of the cottage you can find cultivated land on which the local people grow their crops. Here in spring and summer you have a good chance of seeing the brilliantly colored hoopoe. In addition, a lot of other bird species can be found (jay, little blackhead, green woodpecker, buzzard and bee-eater). From the cottage you will be awakened by the European canary and the black redstart. At night you can hear calling tawny owls from the terrace. When you walk for 15 minutes, you leave the cultural grounds behind and enter the nature of northern Portugal, rock formations, endless fields of yellow prickly broom and the special Mirandesa breed of cows. The numerous rock formations are home to large populations of the gray bunting. You can also see robins' sparrows and choughs everywhere here. The lake that is only a 20-minute drive from the villa offers you the ideal coolness in summer. The landlord will gladly take you there and will also tell you something about the history of the area!
