Calvados and Pommeau

Calvados is known for its drink production of the drink of the same name Calvados and Pommeau made from the apple that grows in the region. With a holiday home in this region you will always find a place where you can enjoy these delicious drinks. Calvados is an apple cider which is distilled twice and results in a drink with an alcohol content of about 70%. Pommeau is made by mixing one year old Calvados with thickened apple juice until it has an alcohol content of 17%. The Cotentin Peninsula

This peninsula is divided between the departments of Manche and Calvados and you can visit the Cap de la Hague and the port of Cherbourg. Despite the few visitors that the area attracts, there are some beautiful and special things to see here. Regional Natural Park Marshes of Cotentin and Bessin

The marshes of Cotentin and Bessin are located in a large lowland area. Here you can find the marshes of the Douve, the Taute and the Aure. In addition to the many rivers, ditches and ditches, you can find a rolling landscape with many low crops.
