Gaasterland is a unique part of Southwest Friesland with rolling forests, cliffs, and lakes. The area around Oudemirdum is ideal for nature lovers and those seeking peace and quiet. Here you won’t find flat plains, but a hilly landscape shaped during the Ice Age. From your log cabin, countless activities are within easy reach. Hike through the Rijsterbos, bike along the cliffs to the IJsselmeer, or take an electric boat out on the Luts. Go for a swim at De Hege Gerzen, sample artisanal ice cream, or rent an e-chopper. In winter, you can skate on natural ice. The surrounding villages, such as Balk, Sloten, and Lemme, are also part of Gaasterland, which is known for its rolling landscape—a rarity in Friesland. From the log cabin, you can easily explore the wooded hiking trails of the Rijsterbos, bike to the cliffs near Oudemirdum, or take a trip to the IJsselmeer. After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• Up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refund
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refund
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
• On the day of arrival or later: no refund
A deposit of €200.00 applies. You will be refunded after check-out.
