The property consists of three houses built around a pond in a very idyllic, green setting. It is surrounded by meadows at the end of a cul-de-sac. La Couronne offers plenty of privacy. There is a fully fenced garden measuring 40 meters and ample parking in front of the house. A BBQ is available, along with comfortable garden furniture. In addition to the trampoline, we also have badminton sets and other indoor family games. Guests have access to a supply of coffee (Nespresso), tea, and spices. The beds are made upon arrival, and bath linens are provided. Upon request, we’ll prepare homemade Belgian stew with fries upon your arrival or on another evening; since we’re originally from Belgium, I can assure you it’s exceptionally delicious. If you’re a vegetarian, we’d be happy to make a vegetarian pasta, lasagna, or pizza. The vacation home is located a short distance (max 30 minutes) from the most popular attractions, such as Omaha Beach and Bayeux.
Nature and surroundings
La Couronne is located near the beautiful D-Day beaches, where you can take lovely walks. There’s a wonderfully large forest about 15 minutes away—Cerisy-la-Forêt—and the vast marshland, home to many birds, is the same distance away. The Voie Verte offers an extensive cycling route along the beaches as well as inland. The Vire River is a 10-minute drive away. Nature lovers will be in their element here. A day trip to a city like Caen or Bayeux, or a train ride to Paris, is also an option.
