A charming and cozy 53 m² vacation rental for two, which we recently renovated and furnished with great care. The cottage is located in a part of our house but is private and has its own entrance. On the ground floor, you’ll find a cozy sitting area, a spacious dining area, and a well-equipped kitchen. Outside is a lovely west-facing terrace, furnished with lounge chairs and a picnic table—perfect for enjoying the view and the sunset. You can also relax in the surrounding meadow while listening to the soothing sounds of birds and crickets. On the first floor is the bedroom with a comfortable queen-size bed (160x200 cm), closet space, and a compact bathroom with a shower and toilet. We offer an excellent fiber-optic Wi-Fi connection, so you can watch TV on your own tablet if you’d like. You’ll have access to a media player for streaming music or listening to the radio.

Let yourself be captivated by the beautiful surroundings. Head out for a lovely walk through the picturesque bocage landscape. We’ve already mapped out several walks for you. Discover charming villages, local markets, and cozy flea markets. And of course, Le Mont-Saint-Michel (45 min), Mortain with its beautiful waterfalls (10 min), Villedieu, famous for its copperwork (20 min), and Domfront (30 min). In the hamlet of “La Cour de Haut,” there’s an organic bakery called “Au Four’nid” that offers delicious sourdough bread baked in a wood-fired oven. Pickup is available on Monday and Thursday afternoons. We recommend ordering in advance. We can wholeheartedly recommend a stay at this GÎte. Everything is exactly as described by the hosts. We especially loved the thoughtful and harmonious selection of furnishings, both inside and out on the terrace. The beautiful tableware, the comfortable bed dressed in lovely linens, the perfectly coordinated furniture and accessories, and—last but not least—the hosts’ warm hospitality made this stay unforgettable for us. Das wunderschöne Geschirr, das bequeme und mit schöner Bettwäsche bezogene Bett, die passend aufeinander abgestimmten Möbel und Accessoires und nicht zuletzt die große Gastfreundschaft der Gastgeber machten diesen Aufenthalt für uns unvergesslich. Die Terrasse lädt bei passenden Temperaturen schon am Morgen ein, das Frühstück draußen mit Blick auf die friedlich grasenden Schafe und ein paar wenige Häuser auf gegenüber liegenden Grundstücken zu genießen. In einem dieser Gebäude ist eine Bäckerei untergebracht, bei unter anderem leckeres, selbst gebackenes Sauerteigbrot bestellt und gekauft werden kann. In der näheren Umgebung sind mit dem Auto Supermärkte erreichbar. Auch für Tagesausflüge waren wir mit dem Auto unterwegs. Die Gegend eignet sich aber auch hervorragend zum Wandern, wofür die überaus freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Gastgeber verschiedene Wanderruten zusammengestellt haben. Wir haben die Ruhe und den weiten Blick zu jeder Tageszeit sehr genossen.
