Set in the beautiful rural Breton countryside, Elsa cottage is the perfect place to recharge your batteries. Elsa has been lovingly renovated, with double height lounge and beautiful mezzanine bedroom and many original features. There is a fully equipped kitchen and dining area. The shower room is on the ground floor, with separate toilet, and the bedroom also has an ensuite toilet. One of Elsa's star attractions is its pretty, private garden, with outdoor seating and barbecue. But you also share the large landscaped grounds, heated swimming pool, games room, boule court and picnic area. Elsa is one of 3 holiday cottages, each with their own private gardens, set on 2.5 acres of land in the quiet breton countryside. We are just 5 minutes from historic Guemene with restaurants, shops etc and 25 minutes from beautiful Pontivy. And with stunning coast, beaches and islands less than an hour away it is the perfect spot to explore beautiful brittany, but then escape back to peace.
Nature and surroundings
Our cottages are in a tiny hamlet in rural brittany. There are lovely walks from the door, including a beautiful walk through the woods down to Guemene, where you can stop for a wander, drink or meal. Cycling is very popular as the roads are so quiet, it is surprisingly hilly, but there are many canal paths to enjoy too. We are lucky with the many local lakes - offering swimming, fishing, kayaking etc, or just relaxing at or enjoying a country walk. If you don't want to travel further afield, just enjoy the garden, listening to the birds and other wildlife, or indulge in some star gazing in our stunning dark skies.
