A fully renovated well sized 2-floored chalet, placed in the hills and valleys of the confined region of Loire and Burgundy, surrounded by a 24 ha. forrest including a lake (sized about 2 football fields). Full privacy garanteed to enjoy a peaceful and serene stay. The forest is free to wander around, a small boat is waiting for you at the lake, and there is quite some fish to catch! The chalet has a modern fully equipped kitchen with a Smeg cooking rang/oven. If you do like cooking, well, here you go! There is a modern bathroom, including Italian shower, double sink and toilet. The oak floored living room is dominated by a monumental fireplace which warms the house fully in cooler days. On the first floor you enter a 'mezzanine', equipped with a couch and tv/dvd player. Via a door access to another sleeping area with 2 bedrooms (1x queen sized bed, 1x single) and a modern 2nd bathroom with shower, sink and toilet.
Nature and surroundings
The chalet is located in a forest of oak trees, is completely fenced, and freely accessible. Located on the border of the Loiret and Burgundy, a charming region between Briare and Sancerre. Here you are surrounded by nature, vineyards and villages full of character. A wonderful environment for walking, cycling and enjoying tranquility, gastronomy, the famous canal of Briare and the refined wines of Sancerre. St. Amand-en-Puisaye, also called the capital of the potters, with the home of the writer Colette, is almost around the corner, as well as the castle of Saint Fargeau where still every year open-air performances are held around the history of this Chateau. From Briare, you can also easily reach Paris by train within 1.5 hours! Finally, in Gien, also along the Loire, you will find a beautiful castle with a hunting museum, and also the manufacturer of the famous Gien porcelain.
