Need more? Balk is the nearest village with more amenities. Many people come to Atelier Gaasterland for the peace and quiet and to relax, but in the area around Atelier Gaasterland, you can also get active: cycling, hiking, renting a (sailing)boat, kitesurfing, or playing golf. Water sports enthusiasts set out from the Wyldemerk in Oudemirdum to Balk and then continue via Lutz Marina to the Slotermeer—the perfect spot for stand-up paddleboarding, fishing, boating, and sailing.
