Hot here? NOT in the cave, it is always between 18 and 22 degrees. So smart were the people here in ancient times, because such a cave is really relaxed living. Come experience it! Our living cave has about 400m2 below ground, of which a spacious (70m2) is the rental apartment, with private entrance and windows. Comfortable, dry, authentic, cozy.The rental apartment is suitable for max 4 people (bedroom with 2p-bed (1.6x2m) and in the living room is a sofa bed if desired for 1 or 2 more people).The apartment has natural light, a wood stove, a practical and well-equipped kitchen, a dining room, '1.5' living room, a beautiful bathroom with rain shower and a sitting area on a large terrace overlooking the valley of the beautiful village of Benamaurel. In the barn is a washer/dryer lines and some extra stuff for outside.Everything is there, you just need to bring your clothes.There is wifi, an apple TV.If there are any questions or doubts, I am happy to hear. Nature and surroundings
Benamaurel is an ancient village on a high cliff, formerly used as a city wall, defensive wall. Also village with many amenities. It is in the middle of "cave country" and also has a high density of caves. This area is on the Unesco list also because of its beautiful geoparks. The landscape is full of mountain, rock, valley river and reservoir. It has numerous hiking trails and the routes to the other villages in the area are beautiful.The history of Benamaurel, goes back to prehistoric times.During the Roman period Benamaurel became part of the province of Baetica.Then came the Visigoths and from 711 the Arab troops began the conquest of the Iberian Peninsula. From 1492 with the fall of the Nasrids kingdom, the area became Christian again, but it is clear that fragments of its rich history can be seen and felt. Benamaurel is located against Sierra de Baza and near Sierra de Castril, spectacular landscapes!
