La Grange is a one bedroomed converted barn suitable for couples or small families, there is a double bed and two single beds in the large bedroom with its own ensuite shower room. Downstairs there is a kitchen with fridge, bottled gas cooker, dressers and dining table with 4 chairs, there is also a settee coffee table and TV. There is also a seating area outside with table and chairs for those wanting to eat Alfresco. There is parking for one vehicle and availability for a washing machine is further along the track, there is also ample areas for hanging out washing in other areas of the property.
Nature and surroundings
La Grange is in a small hamlet and is surrounded by woodland, you will wake up to birdsong and all the sounds of nature all around you. The River Sarre is a 50m distance from La Grange where you can walk for several kilometres alongside the river, looking out for Dragonflies and Butterflies, see the iridescent blue of the resident Kingfisher flashing past you, watch the jumping trout in the shallows amongst the floating strands of River crowfoot, and always keep your eyes open for the elusive Otters that live on the river . You can walk for hours in the surrounding woodland often without seeing another person on safe and designated paths, you will see and hear many birds and if lucky may get a glimpse of a Red squirrel or Roe deer It is only a 10 minute stroll to the village of Melrand with its boulangerie, grocery store, butchers, bars, creperie and an excellent restaurant, one of the best in the area. It has a local doctor and Pharmecie all with friendly helpful people.
