In the midst of our olive grove, located on our 4-acre estate, we pimped and installed a 10m2 retro-caravan. It serves as a sleeping place and has a cozy sitting area, for the colder winter evenings. In summer, you can seek shade under the olive tree or pergola. In addition, we placed 2 wooden cabins (18m2) that serve as fully equipped kitchen and spacious bathroom with dry toilet. We live here off-grid, produce our own compost and filter the water for reuse for the plants. Here you are guaranteed to find privacy, peace, quiet and nature, together with beautiful views and the sunset over the mountains. Here you can come home to yourself, recover from beautiful walks in the mountains, go out, and/or get inspiration for anything. On the estate are, at some distance, the main house of the owners and a dome that is also rented. If desired, we provide a vegetarian 3-course lunch or table d'hôtes.
Nature and surroundings
The caravan site is located near the Natural Park of Sierra de Tejeda, Almijara y Alhama, culminating in the beautiful mountain La Maroma. The area is excellent for short or long walks (GR routes) of any difficulty. There are many highlights, with or without a waterfall. The track to the suspension bridge "El Saltillo" attracts many visitors from home and abroad. Besides the mountains there are also beautiful places on the coast where, especially outside the high season, it is quiet and good. The owners (Esther and René) are happy to take the time to tell you about the most beautiful places. In the village of Canillas de Aceituno there are supermarkets, pharmacies, a bakery and a number of restaurants. Velez-Malaga is the nearest larger town, with its historic center and old castle. Malaga airport is a 40-minute drive away. Upon request, the owners provide a private retreat with special programs, such as silence, walking, relationship or food retreat, with everything taken care of.
