Welcome to La Posada by Finca Maran, a nature house where every guest leaves as a friend and every day ends with a smile at sunset. Nestled in the heart of Andalusia, among olive groves and mountains, this retreat is a place where tranquility, sunshine, and genuine hospitality come together naturally. Relax and unwind in this peaceful, stylish space. Let us know if you’d like to take advantage of our extras, such as breakfast and/or dinner, a hiking guide, or a tagine or paella cooking workshop. This nature house has a small front terrace where you can enjoy the rising sun and the view of the Axarquía and Comares hills. At the back, upstairs (accessible via the staircase inside), you’ll find our riad, which also has a seating area where you can enjoy a cup of coffee under the olive tree, practice yoga, or work out. This is also where the shared gas BBQ is located, as well as the stairs leading to the rooftop terrace, which features a dining table. By the shared pool, you’ll find lounge chairs and a Bali bed.
Nature and surroundings
This romantic nature house is located about a 15-minute drive from the villages of Colmenar, Riogordo, and Comares. All three are authentic and picturesque white Spanish villages. Each village has a supermarket, bank/ATM, pharmacy, bars, and restaurants. Just five minutes away is the typical Spanish tapas bar El Niño, perfect for a drink and a bite to eat. Comares, perched high on a cliff, offers a lovely walking tour where you can see the old Moorish influences. The beach at Torre del Mar is about 40 minutes away and features a pleasant promenade and charming beach bars. Thanks to its central location in the heart of the Axarquía and on the edge of the Montes de Málaga Natural Park, the casita is an excellent base for exploring cultural cities such as Málaga (beach, cathedral, and Gibralfaro Fortress), Seville (cathedral and Jewish quarter), Ronda (the gorge), Granada (the Alhambra), Córdoba (the Mezquita), and the coast. One of Spain’s natural wonders, El Torcal, is just an hour’s drive from the nature house.

The cottage and grounds (seating areas, pool, garden) are fantastically decorated and maintained. Owner JP goes out of his way to make your stay perfect. He bakes delicious bread and is a great cook. Also good tips about the area, trips and walks. The house stays nice and cool, the towels are soft, everything is thought of. The sunrise and sunset are beautiful. Nice shower, also one outside. The authentic elements of the cottage make you really feel you are in Spain. A small downside for us was that the drive there is a bit exciting if you are not used to driving in the mountains. However, JP gives a good description of the best route. It is nicely central for all kinds of cities, the coast and sightseeing. Be sure to go to Comares, a very friendly authentic village on the mountain overlooking the sea. The people in this area are very friendly. We were sorry to go home again.
Het huisje en het terrein (zitjes, zwembad, tuin) zijn fantastisch ingericht en onderhouden. Eigenaar JP doet er alles aan om je verblijf perfect te laten zijn. Hij bakt heerlijk brood en kan fantastisch koken. Ook goeie tips over omgeving, uitjes en wandelingen. Het huisje blijft lekker koel, de handdoeken zijn zacht, aan alles is gedacht. De zonsopgang en ondergang zijn prachtig. Lekkere douche, ook een buiten. De authentieke elementen van het huisje maken dat je echt voelt dat je in Spanje bent. Een klein minpuntje voor ons was dat de rit ernaartoe wat spannend is als je niet gewend bent aan rijden in de bergen. JP geeft echter een goeie beschrijving voor de beste route. Het ligt wel fijn centraal voor allerlei steden, de kust en bezienswaardigheden. Ga zeker naar Comares, een zeer vriendelijk authentiek dorpje op de berg met uitzicht op zee. Sowieso zijn de mensen in deze streek heel vriendelijk. Wij vonden het jammer om weer naar huis te gaan.
