The entrance gate, flanked by two eagles, welcomes you to the property. Surrounded by woods, a river, a lake and rolling greenery lies this natural gite. Get out and discover the outdoors on over 15 acres of private land. Inside you have access to 4 beds with delicious box spring beds (180x200 and 90x200). There are 2 bedrooms, bathroom with shower and toilet, full kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, oven, fridge / freezer, microwave, ceramic hob, kettle, filter coffee maker. Furthermore, a spacious living room with sitting and dining area, and a cozy wood stove. On the estate are 2 gites. There is always only 1 cottage occupied except in July / August and Christmas / New Year. From August 2025 there is a wonderful Finnish sauna available in the rustic old stables dating from 1646. Use of this costs 75 euros per week. Look, between sauna sessions, from your recliner to the stars and hear the call of the owl. Magical!
Nature and surroundings
Go out, discover the outdoors. A deer, a buzzard and a sky full of swallows. This year we also saw badgers, a grass snake viper, a forest martin and many species of birds and butterflies. Bring long pants and boots, the estate is nature reserve with not paths everywhere. .... Even though you are in the middle of the peace, the bakery and supermarket are nearby, about 3 kilometers. Because the estate is nature reserve it is different every time. In May/June the grass is high and in August it is yellow and dry. Every year the grass is cut. In the short grass you can see deer walking and step to the small lake and river Vire. In summer there are blackberries everywhere. Delicious to make jam with. Get oysters at the market, delicious. FROM MID-JULY TO MID-AUGUST WE ORGANIZE FREE TOURS IN SEARCH OF BADGERS AND BATS . The area is great for hiking and cycling. The D day beaches are 1 hour away. The beaches of Granville are also 1 hour away.
