What an amazing place—it’s fantastic.
During our stay, we were surprised by the local festival “Vestifal”—it was nothing but fun.

You can’t really relax at any festival here. The yurt is clean; the bathroom facilities are “back to basics,” but that was perfectly fine for us. Breakfast was great.
Kudos to our host, Philippe.

Wat een geweldige plek, fantastisch.
Tijdens ons verblijf werden we verrast door plaatselijke festival ‘Vestifal’, één en al gezelligheid.

Bij geen festival kom je hier helemaal tot rust. De yurt is schoon, sanitair ‘back to basic’ maar voor ons helemaal prima. Ontbijt was prima.

The yurt and the private plot of land were beautiful. It was also great for the dog, who could run around freely inside the fenced-in area. Unfortunately, the water supply wasn’t connected properly, so the shower didn’t work and the water in the sink wouldn’t drain.

De yurt en het eigen stukje land waren prachtig. Heel fijn ook met de hond, deze kon door de omheining lekker loslopen. De watervoorziening bleek helaas niet goed te zijn aangesloten, waardoor de douche niet werkte en het water in het waterpunt niet wegliep.

Everything was clean and as described. The fireplace was very nice to use on cold nights. Philippe was very nice, gave us great information and was available for questions. The only negative point: The parking recommendation is for a parking space in the absolute stopping ban between 22:00 and 6:00. Then you theoretically pay more parking penalty than for the bivouac. You can park anywhere in front of a house in the village full of vacation homes, but nowhere legally. I find that inappropriate because the landlord owns several neighboring houses anyway.

Es war alles sauber und wie beschrieben. Der Kamin war sehr schön nutzbar bei kalten Nächten.
Philippe war sehr nett, hat uns super informiert und war bei Fragen verfügbar.

Einziger Negativpunkt: Die Parkempfehlung ist für einen Parkplatz im absoluten Halteverbot zwischen 22:00 und 6:00. Dann zahlt man theoretisch mehr Parkstrafe als für das Biwak. Zwar kann man im Ort voller Ferienhäuser überall irgendwie unauffällig vor einem Haus parken, aber eigentlich nirgendwo legal. Das finde ich unangebracht, weil dem Vermieter ohnehin mehrere Nachbarhäuser gehören.

The location is very nice and quiet. We enjoyed waking up to birdsong and being greeted by the cows in the unmown pasture next door. Sometimes a rabbit or the like would run around our tent. The beautiful flowing river next door was always audible. It was nice and warm with the fireplace while the rain pattered on the roof. Once you left the property, you were immediately on one of the many hiking trails.

Die Lage ist sehr schön und ruhig. Es hat uns Freude gemacht mit Vogelgesang aufzuwachen und von den Kühen auf der ungemähten Weide nebenan begrüßt zu werden. Manchmal rannte ein Kanninchen oder dergleichen um unser Zelt herum. Der sehr schön fließende Fluss nebenan war immer gut hörbar. Es war schön warm mit dem Kamin während der Regen auf das Dach prasselte. Verließ man das Grundstück, war man gleich auf einem der vielen Wanderwege.
