Facing a large pond and next to a stream, this 90 m² gîte is the ideal place to gather with family or friends in a peaceful environment. The bright living room, with its monumental fireplace, large solid elm table and cozy sitting area, is perfect for relaxing together. The fully equipped kitchen makes it possible to prepare delicious meals for large parties.Upstairs, three warm sleeping rooms offer comfort and privacy. A first bedroom has a double bed (160 cm) and a single bed, while a second, equally cozy bedroom has a double bed (140 cm). The overflow room, a true cocoon, houses two single beds tucked into alcoves, behind soft curtains for extra rest. The upper floor also features a spacious bathroom with a double sink, a bathtub/shower and a toilet, plus a separate toilet for extra comfort. Outside, a private fenced terrace with barbecue invites relaxation.
Nature and surroundings
The "Moulin de Babel" nestles in the middle of a protected valley. The old mill house houses two comfortable gîtes. Bordered by wooded slopes with a babbling brook, nature invites you to slow down and savor the moment and sometimes admire a kingfisher. The valley is about one kilometer long, and freely accessible. There are some old trails that are partially overgrown, so nature has plenty of room here. Boots and old clothes (kids?!) are recommended! The valley is home to many insects fish birds amphibians and so on. Dead trees are left alone. Opposite our property flows the Couesnon, the river that flows out at Mont St Michel. Along this river are quiet country roads all the way to the coast, where it is wonderful cycling and walking. The lower course of the river between Antrain and Pontorson is lined with wetlands, which provides a great wealth of bird life. In summer, cattle graze there, in winter it is flooded and the morning sun reflects in it.
