This nature house is a bright and spacious vacation apartment in Busquístar, in the heart of the Alpujarra. It is located on top of a 500-year-old traditional Alpujarra house. It was originally a hayloft and has recently been transformed into a comfortable guesthouse. The central space consists of a cozy living room with sitting and dining area and a hand-built, fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove, electric oven, hood, refrigerator and dishwasher. Of course, as coffee roasters, we made sure there is a fine espresso machine on the countertop! On cold days, the cozy wood stove will keep you warm, and the apartment has two bedrooms. The bathroom has a spacious walk-in shower and two sinks. Both the living room and one bedroom give access to the terrace, where you can enjoy the great view of the Trevélez Valley. The sounds around you are those of the wind, birds chirping, sheep and the occasional barking dog.
Nature and surroundings
The Alpujarra is known for its white villages, relatively green landscape, the mountains of the Sierra Nevada and endless hiking opportunities. Hidden in a fold of the Trevélez Valley, at the foot of the Sierra Nevada, lies Busquístar. This is one of the most authentic villages in the Alpujarra, where the rural charm has been well preserved. You will not find souvenir stores or luxury restaurants here, but there is a small store for groceries and a bar serving simple but good food. 'Hurry' is a word that is not in the vocabulary here, making it the perfect place to escape the stresses of everyday life. You can do great hiking, mountaineering, mountain biking and horseback riding in the area. There are several swimming pools and cooling mountain streams in the area. Or you can simply relax with a book and a glass of wine on your private terrace, looking up from time to time to enjoy the view.
