Nature house in El Borge

A very nice house in the perfect location. However, when we arrived, we had to clean up ourselves first. The bed linens and towels smelled really bad, so we washed them right away. The surfaces, the kitchen, and the bathroom had only been roughly cleaned. We also had to tidy up the outdoor area ourselves, since it hadn’t even been swept or the table wiped down. The dishes were dirty, so we had to wash everything first. The dishwasher wasn’t immediately ready for use because there were (concrete) blocks inside it, and it also needed to be cleaned. In addition, the dishwasher door is slightly defective.
Overall, none of this was a big deal for us, as we really enjoyed the location and the view. The fixtures and electrical system are outdated. Unfortunately, the house’s septic tank was full at the beginning of our stay, so the neighbor and someone else spent half a day working on our property so that we could wash dishes and take showers.

Ein sehr schönes Haus am perfekten Ort. Für die Sauberkeit mussten wir jedoch erstmal bei der Anreise selber anpacken. Die Bettwäsche und Handtücher haben stark gestunken, sodass wir erstmal gewaschen haben. Die Oberflächen, die Küche und das Bad waren nur grob gereinigt. Der Außenbereich musste auch erstmal von uns hergerichtet werden, da nicht mal gefegt war oder der Tisch abgeputzt wurde. Das Geschirr war unsauber, sodass wir auch erstmal alles gespült haben. Die Spülmaschine war nicht direkt einsatzbereit, da (Beton-)Steine in der Maschine lagen und diese ebenfalls gesäubert werden musste. Außerdem ist die Tür der Spülmaschine leicht defekt.
Insgesamt war all dies nicht schlimm für uns, da wir den Ort mit dem Ausblick sehr genossen haben. Die Ausstattung und Elektrizität sind veraltet. Leider war zu Beginn die Sickergrube des Haus voll, weshalb der Nachbar mit jemand anderes einen halben Tag bei uns auf dem Gelände gearbeitet haben, damit wir abspülen und duschen konnten.

The surroundings were beautiful, with a view of the mountains stretching toward the sea. There’s nothing nearby except for a neighbor who’s currently building his house—he didn’t bother us at all. On the contrary—he was even helpful when we had some trouble with the sewage system at the house. The property offers absolute peace and quiet, which we really enjoyed.
You reach the house by driving right through the mountains (about 15 minutes after leaving the main road). There are no paved roads. The drive is quite an adventure (especially for people who are afraid of heights or have a fear of heights)—but it didn’t bother us at all.
Insects such as mosquitoes, spiders, flies, and beetles are part of the experience in this setting.

It was perfect for us, and we felt very comfortable—we’d love to come back!

Die Umgebung war wunderschön. Mit Blick in die Berge Richtung Meer. Vor Ort ist nichts außer ein Nachbar, der gerade sein Haus baut - uns hat er nicht gestört. Im Gegenteil - er war sogar behilflich, als wir Schwierigkeiten am Haus mit dem Abwasser hatten. Auf dem Grundstück ist absolute Ruhe die wir sehr genossen haben.
Zum Haus gelangt man mitten durch die Berge (ca. 15 Minuten nachdem man die Hauptstraße verlassen hat). Ausgebaute Straßen gibt es nicht. Der Weg ist schon sehr abenteuerlich (insbesondere für Menschen die ängstlich sind und Probleme mit Höhen haben) - uns hat es aber nichts ausgemacht.
Insekten wie Mücken, Spinnen, Fliegen und Käfer gehören in dieser Umgebung dazu.

Für uns war es perfekt und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt - wir kommen gerne wieder!
