Renaud welcomes you with his 3 cats (Hera, Zeus and Poros) to a socio-cultural country house with 5 troglodytic cellars, a wooden shed converted into a living room and woodland on the hillside. Come and spend your summer vacations chatting, relaxing, listening to music, changing your thoughts, reading after a visit or a walk. Workshops to create tawashi sponges and learn how to make natural paint. Schedule of events at Monthou: - BIP'S touring festival from September 6 to 8, - Celtic concert at your home on September 21. more details in person. Breakfasts are vegetarian, with organic and/or local produce. The guest house has been awarded the "Clef verte" label, which helps reduce energy consumption and raise guests' awareness of ecological issues.
Nature and surroundings
This eco-renovated house has dry toilets everywhere, a permaculture garden, swallows' nests in the cellars, including the 2 guest rooms in troglodytic caves - in short, a respect for old buildings and nature. It's located in a bucolic village facing a stream that flows into the Cher, soon to be home to the Cher bicycle trail. The village has a lake with a children's play area, forest walks to the Gué Péan castle and other attractions in and around the village, such as the nearby Gallo-Roman ruins. Bicycles are available for bike rides.

Free cancellation within 7 days of your booking confirmation, provided the booking request was made more than 28 days before the start date. For bookings starting within 28 days, free cancellation applies within 24 hours. If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount.
After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• Up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refund
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refund
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
• On the day of arrival or later: no refund
