We have completely converted the former manager's house of the chateau into a beautiful vacation home. From the gite you have a view of the chateau and the pool. Ideal for families (2 adults and max 2 children). - tastefully furnished cottage - living room with dining area and sitting area around the fireplace - fast internet (fiberglass), Android TV, French TV channels, your own (ziggo/kpn) app for TV - hallway with toilet, storage room and laundry room 2nd floor - master bedroom with comfortable double bed (160x200) - second bedroom with solid bunk beds (each 90x200) - loft with sofa bed for fifth person (90x200) - bathroom with sink, toilet, shower, towel radiator - terrace around the gite with lounge set, outdoor table, sun beds and picnic table - storage shed for bikes and BBQ
Nature and surroundings
Besides the comfort and tranquility of the vacation home, its location on the chateau estate is a unique plus of this beautiful vacation address. How special it is to vacation in a French Loire castle! At La Mothaye you can come to relax, enjoy nature and the original French rural life. On the estate of over 36 hectares is a swimming pool, many nice seats and play opportunities for the children. In the private forest you can enjoy walks and spot wild animals such as deer, foxes, wild boars and many birds. Also the chickens scratch around, the cats and dog lie on the steps and the horses run in the meadows in front of the castle. The castle is located in the Loire Valley (Unesco World Heritage Site) 10 kilometers from the Loire River and centrally between the beautiful cities of Saumur and Angers. So besides lazing around, there is plenty to do for active vacationers (cycling, canoeing, visiting the famous Loire castles, wine tasting, ... ).
