In a quiet agricultural area with lots of greenery, the cottage near our house is ready for rental. You can book for the season 2025, from the Ascension vacation.The cottage is made of wood, well insulated, self-sufficient, equipped with all comforts such as a private bathroom with toilet and walk-in shower, a kitchen with refrigerator (with freezer), a dishwasher, 2-burner induction hob, a combi-oven, kettle and nespresso. It is good to relax on the covered veranda. Just outside the cottage is a sitting area in the sun and there is a swimming pool (3x6 meters, unheated) with 2 sunbeds, which can be used free of charge. 1 pet possible in consultation. Please note: the bedroom floor has a fairly steep open staircase and the ridge height is 1.40m. This is not suitable for everyone. This is not suitable for everyone. On the property is also the characteristic house of the owner. The distance between (main) house and cottage is about 20 meters, privacy is provided by a palisade.
Nature and surroundings
Le Fresne-Poret is a small village of over 200 inhabitants approximately at the crossroads of the departments of Manche, Orne and Calvados. The house is about 300 meters from the public road and except for seasonal agricultural traffic, it is almost silent. Lots of birds, lots of greenery.The accommodation is at most about an hour's drive from Le Mont Saint Michel, historic towns like Saint Malo, Fougères, Domfront and Mortain. It is also about an hour to the west coast including Granville for seafood restaurants and the ferry to Jersey. A little further is to the beaches of Deauville/Trouville, the picturesque port town of Honfleur and the invasion beaches at Arromanches.Le Fresne-Poret is in a hilly area: for the climbers among cyclists, it is a beautiful and challenging cycling area. There are also hiking/atb trails in the area.Train is an option from NL: TGV to G.du Nord, regular train from Montmartre to Vire. Travel time is then about the same as by car.
