Nature house in MARCILLY

Fine welcome from hostess Sofie. The house was very clean and fully equipped. well equipped kitchen, good bathrooms, neat bedrooms, stove with wood, fine sitting area etc The stairs up can be a challenge for persons who are not so good to walk. (high steps) Car can be parked in front of the door, Cozy large garden with seating and table + garden with wild flowers and herbs, fruit trees etc (note - no fence around garden) We were with 2 adults + our small dog and had a very nice time and would love to go back again.

Fijne ontvangst van gastvrouw Sofie. Het huis was heel schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien.
Goed uitgeruste keuken, goede badkamers, nette slaapkamers, kacheltje met hout, prima zithoek etc
De trap naar boven kan een uitdaging zijn voor personen die niet zo goed te been zijn. (hoge treden)
Auto kan je voor de deur parkeren,
Gezellige grote tuin met zitgelegenheid en tafel + tuin met wilde bloemen en kruiden, fruitbomen etc (let wel - geen omheining rond tuin)


Wij waren met 2 volwassenen + onze kleine hond en hebben een heel leuke tijd gehad en gaan graag nog eens terug.

Een heerlijk rustige plek. Goede uitvalsbasis voor leuke uitstappen. 10 km van een "centre commerciale" waar je alles vind wat je nodig hebt.

Very friendly reception. The cottage is beautiful. Spacious, everything you need is there and provided. The rooms are very pleasant, beds and pillows too. Very suitable for spring and summer. For autumn and winter also, but then there should be something of streaming or casten still provided, so you can cocoon by the wood stove. To really do something or to go visiting you have to drive a while, but that need not be a problem.

Heel vriendelijke ontvangst. Het huisje is prachtig. Ruim, alles wat je nodig hebt, is aanwezig en wordt voorzien. De kamers zijn zeer aangenaam, bedden en kussens ook. Zeer geschikt voor lente en zomer. Bij herfst en winter ook, maar dan kan er best iets van streaming of casten voorzien worden nog, zodat je heerlijk kan cocoonen bij de houtkachel.
Om echt iets te gaan doen of te gaan bezoeken moet je wel al even rijden, maar dat hoeft geen probleem te zijn.

We came here completely relaxed. Quiet street, a large garden (without fence). Beautiful walks nearby. A beautiful bay a little further, with a view of Mont-Saint Michel.

Wij kwamen hier helemaal tot rust. Rustige straat, een grote tuin (zonder omheining). Mooie wandelingen in de buurt. Een prachtige baai wat verder, met zicht op de Mont-Saint Michel.

First things first: Many thanks to our host Sofie, who was available for all our questions from booking to check-out and contributed a lot to the success of this great vacation. The cottage is very comfortably furnished with a large living and dining area with sofa and stove, a spacious kitchen, two modern bathrooms and three very attractively furnished bedrooms. Everything you need for self-catering on vacation is available in the kitchen and living area. The only thing that could be improved is the provision of large plates, as the existing pizza plates were difficult to place in the dishwasher and we therefore preferred to wash them by hand. We slept wonderfully in the comfortable beds! One small drawback was the banister, which was not 100% suitable for small children. But that wasn't a problem. Overall, we felt more than comfortable in this cottage and would definitely book it again.

Zunächst das Wichtigste: Vielen Dank an unsere Gastgeberin Sofie, die von der Buchung bis zum Auschecken für alle unsere Fragen offen stand und um Gelingen dieses tollen Urlaubs viel beigetragen hat.
Das Häuschen ist sehr gemütlich mit großem Wohn- und Essbereich mit Sofa u. Ofen, einer großzügigen Küche, zwei modernen Bädern sowie drei sehr ansprechend eingerichteten Schlafzimmern ausgestattet. In Küche und Wohnbereich ist alles vorhanden, was man zur Selbstversorgung in einem Urlaub braucht. Verbessern könnte man allenfalls die Ausstattung mit großen Tellern, da sich die vorhandenen Pizzateller nur schwer in der Spülmaschine unterbringen ließen und wir sie deshalb lieber mit der Hand gespült haben. In den gemütlichen Betten haben wir wunderbar geschlafen! Ein kleiner Minuspunkt war das Treppengeländer, das nicht zu 100% kleinkindtauglich war. Aber das stellte kein Problem dar. Insgesamt haben wir uns in diesem Häuschen mehr als wohl gefühlt und würden es definitiv wieder buchen.

Sofie's house is located in the middle of the slightly hilly Norman countryside, away from busy roads and surrounded by greenery on a former small farmstead. It is a place where you can enjoy peace and quiet and watch the starry sky at night on a clear day with virtually no air pollution. The nearest neighbors include the very pleasant landlady Sofie, and yet you have your own private sphere in this location. The cottage also has a large plot of land with fruit trees. The fact that this was not fenced in was not a problem, despite the small children in our group, because there is hardly any traffic on the nearby road. And yet you can be in one of the nearest villages or in Avranches, where there are plenty of shopping opportunities, in just a few minutes by car. And of course the close proximity to Mont-Saint-Michel and the numerous hiking trails in the bay of the same name should also be mentioned.

Das Haus von Sofie liegt inmitten der leicht hügeligen normannischen Landschaft abseits befahrener Straßen mitten im Grünen auf einem ehemaligen kleinen Gehöft. Es ist ein Ort, wo man Ruhe und Stille genießen sowie in der Nacht bei klarer Sicht nahezu ohne jedwede Luftverschmutzung den Sternenhimmel beobachten kann. Zu den nächsten Nachbarn zählt u.a. die sehr angenehme Vermieterin Sofie, und doch hat man in dieser Lage seine eigene private Sphäre. Zum Häuschen gehört auch ein großes Gelände, auf dem Obstbäume wachsen. Dass dieses nicht eingezäunt war, stellte trotz kleinen Kindes in unserer Gruppe kein Problem dar, weil auf der nahe gelegenen Straße kaum Verkehr ist. Und trotzdem ist man in wenigen Minuten mit dem Auto in einem der nächsten Dörfer oder in Avranches, wo es vielfältige Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt. Und natürlich ist die große Nähe zum Mont-Saint-Michel und den zahlreichen Wanderwegen an der gleichnamigen Bucht zu erwähnen.
