Nature house in Colmenar Solano

Welcome to Finca Maran, a charming old finca in the hills of the Axarquía, in the hamlet of Solano. Here you can enjoy breathtaking views, such as of the mountain village of Comares perched on the summit. The finca is spacious, built in the Moorish style, stylishly furnished, and features several terraces, a rooftop terrace, and a swimming pool. It’s the ideal place for those seeking peace and quiet or for families who love nature and open spaces. The fully furnished casa is the main house of Finca Maran and consists of 2 living rooms, a dining room, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a large, well-equipped kitchen. The tap water is filtered using a Phoenix water filter, so you can enjoy delicious drinking water straight from the tap. There is one wood-burning stove and three air conditioners. There are several homes on the Finca Maran property: the main house, Casa Maran, and Casita Maran. The pool and terraces may be shared with other guests. Sometimes we stay in the main house ourselves; of course, we will respect your privacy.

The Moorish casa is located about a 15-minute drive from the villages of Colmenar, Riogordo, and Comares—three authentic and picturesque white Spanish villages. The villages feature a supermarket, bank/ATM, pharmacy, bars, and restaurants. Just five minutes away is the traditional Spanish tapas bar El Niño, perfect for a drink and a bite to eat. Comares, perched high on a cliff, offers a lovely walking tour where you can see the old Moorish influences. The beach at Torre del Mar is about 40 minutes away and features a lively promenade lined with beach bars. Thanks to its central location in the heart of the Axarquía and on the edge of the Montes de Málaga Nature Park, the casa is an excellent base for exploring cultural cities such as Málaga (beach, cathedral, and Gibralfaro Fortress), Seville (cathedral and Jewish quarter), Ronda (the gorge), Granada (Alhambra), Córdoba (Mezquita), and the coast. One of Spain’s natural wonders, El Torcal, is a 1-hour drive from the nature house, and the Caminito del Rey is 1 hour and 20 minutes away.
