This domain occupies 6 hectares of land, half of which is wooded and protected for nature, bordered by the Allemette river. The cultivated gardens offer an outdoor dining space at the rear of the house, a terrace to enjoy a quiet drink at the end of the day, a swinging daybed for that book or to dream, plus deckchairs/loungers. We also have badminton and other garden games available as well as board games. Totally organic, we cultivate our own fruit and vegetables. Home to contemporary Artist Elaine Brett, Rose a Fell pony and Henri rescued hunting hound. Elaine's low-impact ceramics and oil pastel drawings are for sale, and you will often see her working in her studio or garden. Your breakfast is homemade bread, confitures, cereal, yoghurt, fruit, tea/coffee to eat inside or outside as is your preference. You are most welcome, and we look forward to introducing you to this very quiet and often overlooked part of rural France. Children are very welcome.

We live in the Brenne Nature Reserve 'home to a thousand lakes', loved by many for the wildlife, flowers, fauna. Le Domaine is an easy walk to Château Guillaume, reputed to be the birthplace of Eleanor of Aquitaine, a local landmark that you can visit, or take a picnic and enjoy a circular walk around the Chateau taking in the tranquility. Very sweet hostess. Fine room. Only we had to use her kitchen and I found that a bit strange and was also not clear in the description.
Hele lieve gastvrouw. Prima kamer.

A nice quiet cottage, clean and spacious room, excellent bed. A delicious breakfast with homemade bread, jam and fresh fruit from the garden. We were able to relax extensively in the quiet garden. Had nice conversations with the hostess. After greeting horse and dog when we arrived, we felt at home right away.
The cottage is particularly quiet next to a large nature reserve where you can drive around a lot and walk in many places. There is much to see and enjoy. The castle of Azay-le-Ferron is worth the visit. The guide enthusiastically told about the history in her best English.
