In the beautiful hills of the Sierra de Grazalema, in the South of Andalusia, you will find our vacation house ideal for families and groups. The fully restored Cortijo is one of the oldest houses in the area. The comfortable house sleeps 10 people and has 5 bedrooms and two bathrooms (one en-suite) on two floors. There is a large kitchen, dining room, living room with stove and fireplace and a large terrace around the house with a beautiful pool with spectacular views. Next to the main house there is another independent apartment for two with a small kitchen and private bathroom. The apartment is not rented separately. The Cortijo is situated on 6000m3 of land. The water supply comes from its own well. The house is an optimal base for nature and culture lovers and sports enthusiasts. The house is cool in summer, and well heated in winter. This makes the house comfortable all year round!
Nature and surroundings
Located at the top of a hill in rural Madrigueras, it is easily accessible by a paved road. It is 10 minutes from Algodonales (paragliding!) and 15 minutes from Zahara de la Sierra, one of the most beautiful white villages in Andalusia. The Cortijo is characterized by the peace it exudes and by the vast, clear skies with spectacular starry nights. Olive trees and pitas form the characteristic vegetation of the farm and in summer the sound of the cicadas accompanies the afternoons in a dry silence that invites you to rest, withdraw from the everyday noise and enjoy with family or friends. The beautiful, natural surroundings offer many opportunities for hiking and cycling, to visit the culturally interesting cities like Seville, Cadiz and Jerez de la Frontera or make a route along the famous white villages of Andalusia! Nature, peace & environment:Authentic, traditional house with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Quiet location, lots of privacy but lots to see and do nearby. We were warmly welcomed by the host of the house (including some goodies in the fridge and freezer) and could always contact her with all our questions. She also kept us informed about local activities that suited our family. Since she is a local, she is super knowledgeable and also super friendly, not to mention a very nice pool that we thoroughly enjoyed. In short: everything you need for a great vacation in Andalusia! Highly recommended!
Authentiek, traditioneel huis met een adembenemend uitzicht op de bergen rondom. Rustig gelegen, heel veel privacy maar wel ontzettend veel te zien en te doen in de buurt. Overdaad aan prachtige natuur en cultuur in de omgeving.
We werden zeer hartelijk ontvangen door de host van het huisje (o.a. met wat lekkers in de koelkast en vriezer) en konden altijd bij haar terecht met al onze vragen. Ze hield ons ook op de hoogte van lokale activiteiten die pasten bij ons gezin. Omdat ze een local is, is ze super goed op de hoogte en ook nog super vriendelijk.
Ook niet te vergeten: een heel mooi zwembad waar we volop van genoten hebben. Ook was het huisje goed koel te houden.
