Nature house in St Vigor des Monts

The decor was beautiful, but the practical aspects left something to be desired. The door jammed, and the chairs and couch were sagging. The dishwasher was broken. The window screens were coming loose. The patio furniture was basic.

De inrichting was schitterend alleen het praktische gebruik liet de wensen over. Deur klemde, stoelen en bank waren doorgezakt. Vaatwasser was kapot. De horretjes lieten los. Tuinmeubilair eenvoudig.

Not a single sound except for the sounds of nature. The hostess was incredibly hospitable. We were welcomed with homemade soup and French bread.

Response from the landlord: The door is over 400 years old, and although it’s heavy, it has never jammed when I’ve used it. As for the vintage sofa, although it’s soft, it isn’t saggy because the seat cushions have been recently reupholstered with new springs and fabric. The dishwasher was being replaced, but you mentioned it didn’t bother you, so although we got a new one during your stay, we didn’t want to disturb you. The fly screens were reattached before your stay, but the sun melted the glue and softened the screens. The garden furniture may be “basic,” but the vast majority of guests appreciate the old, solid granite table and benches.

Geen enkel geluid op de natuur na. Gastvrouw super gastvrij. We weten verwelkomt met eigen gemaakte soep met stokbrood.

The dishwasher was being replaced but you indicated you weren't bothered so although we obtained one during your stay, did not want to disturb you. The owner was nice. She also had a light meal ready for us; we didn't get there until around 9:50 p.m.

eigenaresse was aardig. Ze had ook een kleine maaltijd voor ons , wij waren er pas rond 21.50 uur.

We had a wonderful, warm week. We were happy to have the freestanding bathtub in the house, which allowed us to cool off nicely.
The house was decorated in a rustic English style and was spacious enough for two people.
The garden wasn’t manicured, which gave it a rustic feel. We saw and heard lots of animals around the house.

een heerlijke warme week gehad. Blij met het losstaande bad in huis waardoor we lekker konden afkoelen.
Huis was in landelijke engelse stijl ingericht, ruim voor 2 personen.
Tuin was niet gecultiveerd wat landelijk deed overkomen. veel dieren gezien en gehoord om het huis.

Geslapen als een roos,uilen gespot,hertjes gezien,wij vonden het huisje echt top,wandelen zonder iets of iemand te zien.omgeving iets verder,vb Granville bij uitstap.prachtig.
