This mountain range offers challenging hiking trails and beautiful views. Moreover, the historic city of Granada, known for the Alhambra, can be reached within an hour and a half drive for a cultural day out. If you prefer to spend time at the beach, the quiet beaches of Torre del Mar can be reached within 20 minutes. Here and in nearby Velez Malaga you will find atmospheric restaurants, tapas bars and cozy terraces. The region is popular among bird watchers, thanks to a wide range of native bird species.
