Nature house in El Cañuelo

This Andalusian house with 9 rooms is said to be one of the oldest in El Cañuelo, a nature reserve near Nerja and 1 hour from Málaga. Its name suggests it was an inn in ancient times, when a path under the house was the main route along the coast. One can imagine travelers and horsemen resting for a night or two during their great journey to Granada or Africa. It might even have seen Hannibal passing through during his campaign from Africa to Rome, with his army of 40,000 men and 38 elephants! This house was restored by an amateur and passionate lover of this region.
