It is a charming, stone Breton farmhouse located in the heart of the beautiful, peaceful Breton countryside. The vine-covered thick granite walls make it cool in summer and cozy in winter with the cast-iron wood stove. The farmhouse has a large gravel driveway, ideal for long summer evenings of bocce and barbecues. The cottage has a bright, airy kitchen and dining area, a comfortable and cozy living room with TV, 2 sofas, armchairs and a wood stove. There is a toilet downstairs. Upstairs there is a spacious double bedroom with its own bathroom with shower. There are 2 more bedrooms with 2 single beds each. Separate bathroom with bath and tub/shower. The decor is tasteful and understated in muted tones. There are plenty of beautiful trees to climb and the woods near the lake offer great opportunities to build dens. We grow our own vegetables and we are always happy to share our surplus! Freshly laid eggs from our 6 chickens are usually available as well.
Nature and surroundings
The house sits on its own 4-acre property with grassy fields and summer annual flowers surrounding it. Across the private lane is a meadow, which in turn leads to a clearing in the woods and a path down to our own private lake with rowboat. The tree house, under construction, offers a bird's eye view of the lake which has a small dock for diving and swimming and we fill it regularly with rainbow trout. Day passes are available to fish the lake. There are numerous beautiful trees to climb and the woods near the lake offer great opportunities to build dens. Wildlife is abundant and we have seen kingfishers, egrets, deer, badgers, hedgehogs, pin marten and even wild boars. With absolutely no light pollution and clean, unpolluted air, this is a perfect place for stargazing. I have never seen the Milky Way as clearly as I did from here on a moonless night.

The nature house is tastefully and cozily decorated, sufficiently spacious with a lovely garden with deck chairs, opportunity to eat outside at the table, barbecue and there is also a table tennis table.

Nature, peace & environment:We enjoyed every day the immediate environment around the house with the beautiful garden, forest and "own" lake. Further on is the larger lake belonging to the village. Not too small, not too big: very pleasant and nice for swimming/water sports. Then there is Brittany itself which we discovered as a varied landscape. From the beautiful coasts, cliffs, beaches to the old towns and villages and forests on the hills. The owners are extremely friendly and let us enjoy fresh vegetables from their vegetable garden. Upon arrival there was already some waiting for us, in addition to a vase of flowers from their garden.
We hebben elke dag genoten van de directe omgeving rondom het huis met de mooie tuin, het bos en ‘eigen’ meertje. Verderop is het grotere meer dat bij het dorp hoort. Niet te klein, niet te groot: zeer plezierig en fijn om te zwemmen/watersporten. Dan is er nog Bretagne zelf dat we als een gevarieerd landschap hebben ontdekt. Van de mooie kusten, kliffen, stranden naar de oude steden en dorpjes en de bossen op de heuvels. De eigenaren zijn bijzonder vriendelijk en lieten ons meegenieten van verse groenten uit hun moestuin. Bij aankomst lag er al wat voor ons klaar, naast een vaasje bloemen uit hun tuin.
