The house stands in a beautiful wide setting, in the middle of a quiet French farm valley and was completely renovated in early 2023 with attention to old details to preserve the cozy atmosphere. The house, suitable for 8 people, has a large (fenced) garden with unobstructed views along which a river flows. The adjacent building is the old water mill and now serves as a barn. Outside are a large picnic table and BBQ. On the ground floor you will find a spacious living room, bathroom with walk-in shower and an equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer. On the second floor there are five bedrooms and a toilet. A set of towels and bed linen per person is included in the rental price. Small children have also been thought of: the garden is fenced, the stairs are fitted with stair gates and there are childproof sockets. In addition, one camp bed, high chair, changing pad and toilet reducer are available upon request.

The region of Normandy offers many opportunities to explore its beautiful surroundings. A beautiful area for hiking, cycling, mountain biking and hiking. You can also do horseback riding, climbing and/or a paragliding adventure (Suisse Normande), for example. Not far from Saon, only 10 km away, is a national park and in less than fifteen minutes drive you are already at the beach or in the cozy town of Bayeux with its many attractions. In short, there is no lack of varied nature and activities! Tip: on the way to an activity or sightseeing, take the scenic roads for beautiful views and picturesque villages! Besides the varied environment Normandy also has a rich history. For many, therefore, this region is known for what happened at the time of World War II. Near the house there are many museums and monuments to visit and do not forget to visit the landing beaches and the American cemetery.
