Nature house in Saon

There are only a few drawbacks: the bathroom is not designed for eight guests (given the number of hooks on the wall, etc.). And in damp or rainy weather it is difficult to dry your laundry; it would be ideal if part of the barn could be used for that.
Other than that, it is absolutely top notch. Everything you need is there. And everything is in good condition. And aesthetics also play a role: both inside and outside the house is a feast for the eyes. Landlord's comment: Thanks for the comprehensive review and the nice feedback and tips!

Er zijn maar enkele minpuntjes: de badkamer is niet berekend op acht gasten (gezien het aantal haakjes aan de muur etc.). En bij vochtig of regenachtig weer is het lastig om je was te drogen; het zou ideaal zijn als daarvoor een deel van de schuur gebruikt zou kunnen worden.
Verder is het helemaal top. Alles wat je nodig hebt, is er. En alles is in goede staat.
En ook de esthetiek speelt een rol: zowel binnen als buiten is het huis een lust voor het oog.

Beautiful surroundings. In terms of nature somewhat uniform. Lots of peace, beautiful scenery, rich history - It's quite dangerous to enter the road from the driveway. You can't see what's coming from the left. A mirror across the road would help - It is beautiful to hear the murmur of the stream. It would be even nicer if a place was also created where you could get to the creek itself from the yard.
- The garden could be managed in a more nature-friendly way. For example by removing the grass clippings each time. That would ensure more herbal growth and thus more insects. Very nice to see a pair of gray flycatchers nesting in a hollow in the wall of the barn. Shortly before we left, the young flew out.

Mooie omgeving. Qua natuur wat eenvormig. Veel rust, mooi landschap, rijke geschiedenis.

- Het is best gevaarlijk om vanaf de oprit de weg op te gaan. Je ziet niet wat er vanaf links aankomt. Een spiegel aan de overkant van de weg zou helpen.
- Het is prachtig om het geruis van de beek te horen. Het zou nog mooier zijn als er ook een plekje werd gecreëerd waar je vanaf het erf bij de beek zelf zou kunnen komen.
- De tuin zou nog wat natuurvriendelijker kunnen worden beheerd. Bijvoorbeeld door het maaisel telkens af te voeren. Dat zou zorgen voor meer kruidengroei en dus meer insecten. Superleuk dat er een paartje grauwe vliegenvangers broedde in een holte in de muur van de schuur. Kort voor we vertrokken vlogen de jongen uit.

Beautiful, quiet place. The cottage is nicely refurbished and fully equipped. It also stays nice and cool in the summer with the help of the heat pumps. Good base to visit the D-Day beaches and beautiful surroundings. Recommended for people who like privacy and quiet.

Mooie, rustige plek. Het huisje is mooi opgeknapt en van alle gemakken voorzien. Het blijft met behulp van de warmtepompen ook fijn koel in de zomer. Goede uitvalsbasis om de D-Day stranden te bezoeken en mooie omgeving. Aanrader voor mensen die van privacy en rust houden.
