This 4-person gîte at Neret is situated in one of the outbuildings on the property and used to serve (+/- 1840) as a stable & grain storage. During the renovation we tried to preserve as many authentic details as possible. The entrance is on a shady private terrace. On the ground floor you will find the sitting area (with TV for your own apps), kitchen & dining table, toilet and a double bedroom with lovely box springs (90x210cm) and shower en suite. On the first floor a second bedroom (2 pers.) with private shower and toilet. The rooms are decorated with socially critical paintings. You have a private entrance through the meadow, where you can also park your car. You are here 'in the middle of nowhere', so own transport is a must! At night you can marvel at the fantastic starry sky without light pollution. And all that less than 3 ½ hours below Paris (720km from Breda), exclusively for adults without pets. Peace and quiet guaranteed!

Your gîte is located on a hill with magnificent panoramic views, 4 km from the village of Neret in the southern region of Le Berry. Here, far away from the urban noise and mass tourism, in the farming hinterland among the vast farmlands, the rolling landscape changes color almost every week: red poppies, lemon yellow rapeseed, warm yellow of sunflowers and the gold color of corn. The silence here is deafening! Néret is bordered by forests, so it is not rare to spot a roe deer, boar, hare or fox. If you like hiking, biking (or doing nothing at all), you'll be right at home here. During the summer months, the region hosts many brocante markets and vide-greniers. Stores, bakery and restaurants can be found in La Chatre at 14 km and Chateaumeillant (also wine region with its own AOC) at 9 km. Upon arrival you will find an extensive folder with sights and activities in the region.
