On the ground floor of this minimalist converted barn (from 1841) you will find a bedroom with 2 new comfortable box springs of 90x210cm, a bathroom en suite with rain shower cabin and sink, a kitchen with oven, induction hob, fridge, Nespresso machine, kettle and dishwasher. Here you will also find a cozy sitting area with TV to stream your own apps. The stairs lead to the first floor. Also here 2 new box springs (80x200), a private rain shower cabin with sink and a toilet. Outside is a great place to stay on the shady terrace with seating and relaxing chairs. Because the house is situated on a hill you have beautiful views over the rolling countryside and a great sunset. The car is parked in the meadow. A good wifi connection and (shared) pool make your stay complete. Welcome!
Nature and surroundings
The cottage is situated on a hill with wide views, about 4 km outside the village of Neret, in the quiet south of the historic province of Le Berry. Here, far from mass tourism and city bustle, the landscape changes color almost weekly: red poppies, yellow rapeseed, warm sunflowers and the gold of grain. The silence here is so quiet you can hear it. At night it is pitch dark outside so ~ magisterial starry skies! All around are forests and agricultural fields where you might spot a deer, fox, hare or wild boar. Do you like walking, cycling or just doing nothing with a good book? Then this is the place for you. From mid-May on weekends there are often brocante markets and vide-greniers in the region. For shopping, bakeries and restaurants, drive to La Châtre (14 km) or Châteaumeillant (9 km). Upon arrival there is a folder full of tips and outings waiting for you - and a chilled bottle of wine. After all, you are in France. We would like to welcome you in the middle of nowhere!
