Detached authentic longère(18th century) half of which has been converted into a gîte. Everything thoroughly restored(2022) and equipped with contemporary comfort while maintaining traditional elements. New electric floor heating + radiators. A solid wood stove in the sitting area overlooking the fireplace provides extra warmth. Comfortable new seats make everything even more cozy. The dining area with new kitchenette has everything you need to prepare the most delicious meals. The bathroom with bath, shower and double sink is decorated with concrete-ciré plaster. Separate toilet. Bedroom 1 on the ground floor has a sink with w/c water. View of the garden from the bed. Bedroom 2 is a mezzanine with a cozy and separate sitting and movie area. This separate sitting area can be quickly converted into additional sleeping space for 2 people. Bedroom 3 upstairs also has a crib. All 2p-beds can easily be converted into 2 separate 1p-beds. All beds (180x200) are new boxsprings.
Nature and surroundings
Our longère is located in the south of regional natural park "La Brenne" land of a thousand lakes (center France "Indre"). The farm is beautiful, hidden encapsulated on the edge vh adjacent forest. Location is quiet and rural with mainly country sounds (adjacent road is dead end). Our guests have a separate entrance with fenced private garden (500m²) with 2 shaded terraces and a fixed BBQ. The car finds its place in the private parking. Furthermore, there is unlimited internet via a 4G router (data flow faster than cable). Recently a SWIMMING POND has been constructed. Furthermore, the area invites hiking, biking, horseback riding and nature experiences. Cultural experiences in cities such as Poitiers, Limoges, Montmorillon, Oradour Sur Glane, Argenton-sur-Creuse (Roman site "Argentomagus"). Real French gastronomy can be found in the local restaurants with daily menus or à la carte. Info and tips for all desired activities are provided in the gîte.
